So everything is looking better now, my last exam is tomorrow which means I’ll be free for a long time after that before I’ll have to think about English or Politics or Accounting or Management again. So last time I wrote I’d post some Souls of Mischief. Don’t get me wrong, I like Eric B. & Rakim, but the 93 ’til Infinity album is my favourite hi-hop album. That’s definite. It’s one of those early to mid nineties records again, before hip-hop turned into R. Kelly’s Rap Opera (which isn’t suitable for minors or people who can think).
Anyway, 93 ’til Infinity was released back in 1993, 15 years ago (holy shit I’m old aka nearly dead) and it’s been cool cats ever since. I like the title track the most, none of the other tracks even compare to it, but they are still far better than most hip-hop.
Since I really can’t say anything else about that, I’ll discuss R. Kelly’s Rap Opera, in particular, Part 9, in more detail. If you did have a look, I find it amusing that he puts on a white woman’s accent when he speaks the part of Bridget, the white-trash Palin-mom. It’s also interesting that he adds complexity by making Bridget allergic to cherries, but OH LORD, there is a slice missing, it must be the… midget, midget, midget, midget…
