It has been a while but my excuse was there was no exam to procrastinate from… but then, exams creep up and BANG just like that I have an urge to share music with you kind folk (and the fact I saw some pretty terrible bands last night in some backyard… clearly wasn’t drunk enough to be getting into hipster kids trying to be the next iggy pop/nick cave/lou reed - god I sound old…) and so, today I give you Talk Talk, and their third album The Colour Of Spring.
Talk Talk are a mildly interesting band just by themselves because they released two albums of pretty standard 80’s New Wave fare (and you may recall No Doubt covering one of their bigger hits It’s My Life) but then slowly morphed into some sort of weird ambient art rock thing (it’s difficult to explain). This album they have some of the New Wave synthpop in there, but its mainly moving over to the ambient rock phase. If you like it look up their next album Spirit Of Eden.
